:: Spring Couture in Paris. My favorite so far has been the head gear at Dior. And the makeup. Oh, and the whole freaking thing.

:: Seeing my Girls. In some weeks Monday is the reigning queen supreme of mania. This week however was Thursday (talk about an identity crisis) and let me tell you, I was beat by the time I hopped into that elevator on the way out of work. The only thing keeping my spirits from completely crashing was a happy hour date with some lovelies aka my BFFs. Good (spicy) food, a few diet cokes and catching up with my inner circle- trust me it’s the tops.
:: Working. Working. Working. And still loving the job.
:: TGIF. Tomorrow I have plans for an early morning class at the gym, my first! I feel like it will be fun yet is still terrifying to work out in a classroom setting. It must be bad memories from being in dance classes at school and wearing not-so-flattering unitards in a school assembly. (I love the unitards is not a word to my wordpress spell check. Sorry sister, those are for real.) Also on the docket- family birthday lunch for my MIL, getting a library card and doing laundry. Wild right?
happy weekend!

:: In the past month I have read The Help and The Memory Keeper’s Daughter. I still need to get my new city library card so I don’t have to depend on others for books to read, both were loaners from Ma. These were okay books, nothing amazing but I really didn’t mind too much. Mostly I was reading these while Huzz and I were apart so they were time fillers not so much life changers. I’ve found that the NY Times Bestseller List and I have some different opinions.
:: Work is great. I’m learning a ton everyday about how my company works and I love it. Plus my assignment the other day was to “shop the site” so I obeyed and shopped online for a good 45 minutes guilt free at my desk. Plus we’ve been having vendor meetings and figuring out Fall ’11. Let me just tell you, I am excited for August.
:: I cleaned out my closet today and it was not as hard as I expected. I’ve been trying to focus more on buying high quality pieces that are more than just one season stars. I have also been shopping more and not spending more. I’m making lists for Spring and shopping my own closet, finding the classic styles and newer trends that I like and narrowing them down to some essential pieces. I’m hoping this helps me budget a bit better by making a point of shopping and not just mindlessly picking something up at Target every week (sometimes twice a week) to satisfy my addiction. Also, I feel the anticipation of picking out the perfect item, trying it on, mulling it over and then waiting until the time is just right to get it is much more satisfying than just grabbing mindlessly and instantly. Man I spend a lot of time thinking about clothes.
:: Today we visited with friends whom we enjoy very much, friends that became my friends after I met Huzz and I feel pretty lucky for the extra families I married into. Speaking of families, these guys are having a baby and I’m actually excited for them. I’m not completely evil, I just don’t enjoy babies and children as much as most people. I do however, enjoy these friends of ours and am excited and curious to see what their spawn is like. It’s nice too to see real people our age going through life stuff, it’s like a prep course for something we may do in the FAR future.
:: Today we continue the process of moving in. We have so much crap. I’ve never felt more American than when we rented a UHaul and our possessions didn’t fit, it took 2 additional car trips. In the pouring rain. On a deadline. With a few slips in the mud. Poor, wonderful Huzz.

:: Trying to pick which of the Celine Pre-Fall 2011 images to insert in this post was more difficult than I had imagined. Please go here to view the collection. She’s done it again that fantastic Ms Philo. Wowza.

I should have brought my camera with me today.
(oh wait, I did. woops)
After an extremely indoor day yesterday,
today we decided to venture out into our little city by bicycle and
enjoy the lovely, cold and crisp winter Sunday.
Now I am watching netflix and trying to figure out what to pack and how to prepare
for a change of city.
Any tips?
I hope you all had a lovely and refreshing weekend.

Dear Readers,
I did it! I landed a new job in a new city and could not be happier! It’s even related to fashion! Can you believe it?
I still am getting used the idea of me in a professional setting, doing copious amounts of office work, dealing directly with shoes. SHOES. It’s going to be a great new adventure and I’m absolutely freaked out and the most excited I’ve ever been about work. I don’t know what all this is going to mean for little old blog here, but I think it will just stay pretty mellow. Probably more pictures of shoes I am in love with and clothes I am lusting after will flutter onto the screen, and I will still be obsessed with Freja. Another great perk of the job is the fact that I will once again, after a great while, be in the same city as my BFFs and an 90 minutes closer to one that is not directly in the city. I am moving away from a dear one also leaving my husband for a few (dreaded) weeks. However, I am trying to remain positive which is easy to do considering the magnitude of this job.
So today I leave you with a my first venture on polyvore. It’s a little bland but soon it turns out this is a nice way for me to develop outfits I have floating around in the old skull.
